Your Admissions Advisor is Emry Summerville

Emry Summerville, a native of Huntsville, Alabama, graduated from Sparkman High School in 2017. She earned a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from The University of Alabama in 2021 and returned home to teach fifth grade reading and English, inspiring young minds. Her passion for education and communication motivated her to pursue a master’s in marketing with a concentration in digital and social media, which she completed in fall 2024. During her time at The University of Alabama, Summerville was actively involved in several organizations, including the Student Government Association, UA Housing and multiple honor societies. She also served as president of both Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and the National Pan-Hellenic Council, showcasing her commitment to service, leadership and community engagement. Since June 2022, Summerville has worked with The University of Alabama’s Office of Admissions, where she supports students and families across northwest Alabama. Outside of her professional life, Summerville enjoys reading, experimenting in the kitchen and cheering on the Crimson Tide.
